statement of faith 1.jpg

The Scriptures Inspired

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to men, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and superior to conscience and reason but not contrary to reason. We believe the Holy Bible, which is comprised of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments as originally given.  The Scriptures are without error and the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct. (1 Timothy 3:15-17, , 1 Corinthians 2:13, 11 Peter 1:23-25, Heb. 4:12)

The One True God

We believe in the Eternal God, who has revealed Himself as One God, self-existent, self-revealed “I AM”, and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association by simultaneously existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible.  He is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. (Deut. 6:4, Mark 12:29,  Isaiah 43:10, Matthew 28:19, 11 Corinthians 13:14, 1 Peter 1:2, John 14:26)

Salvation

  • We believe the Lord Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross as a sacrifice for our sin, was buried, and rose again bodily the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples (1 Cor. 15:1-4, Romans 4:25).

  • We believe in the eternal life for believers (John 5:24, 3:16).

  •  We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and complete work of Jesus on the Cross by which we obtain total forgiveness of sin (Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11).

  • Evidences of Salvation:  The inward evidence to the believer of his/her salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16).  The outward evidence to all men is a life of holiness (1 Thess. 4:7, 2 Tim. 1:9).

  • Man is a free moral agent to choose salvation by repentance from sin, turning to God, with faith in Christ.  We may know that we are saved and must endure to the end (Romans 5:12, Genesis 6:5, Hebrews 10:26, 1 Corn. 9:17, Jeremiah 31:19, Matthew 3:8, Acts 2:38, 3:19, 20:21).

Hell

  • The devil and his angels, the best and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns fire and brimstone which is the second death.

  • We believe in the reality of personality of Satan and that he is the declared enemy of God and man.  We further believe that while a Christian can be tempted by Satan, A Christian cannot be demon possessed (Matthew 25:41, 11 Corinthians 6:14-18, 7:1).

  • All mankind are sinners by nature and subject to eternal judgment.  Man is a free moral agent to choose salvation by repentance from sin, turning to God, with faith in Christ.

  • We believe in eternal punishment and separation from God for unbelievers.  We believe in angels and demons (1 Jude 1:6, Ephesians 6:12, Matthew 25:41, Mark 9:43-48, 11 Thessalonians 1:9, Revelation 20:10-15).

Water Baptism & Communion

  • We believe that water baptism and communion are open only to those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  The ordinance of water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit as commanded in the Scriptures, shall be administered to only those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and have attended a class regarding water baptism so that they are full aware of the Biblical meaning and representation of this ordinance and who give evidence of their fruit (Matthew 28:19, Colossians 2:12).

  • These ordinances are observed in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ as acts of love and devotion and are not considered to be necessary for salvation.

  • Immersion water baptism is a public identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:34-36, 19:1-6, 1 Corinthians 11:17-28).

Holy Spirit

  • We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ, and that He is our abiding helper, teacher, and guide.

  • We believe in the present day ministry of the Holy spirit as recorded through the New Testament, including the exercise of all the Biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit in the church (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12, 14).

  • We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct endowment of power from on high for witnessing and services as witnesses of Christ (Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4-5, 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46).

  • We believe that Christians should live life in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord, their reputation or the church.  There should be a rejection of, a turning from sinful pleasures and practices (Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 5:18, 11 Corinthians 6:14, 7:1, 1 John 2:15-17, 11 John 9-11).

The Church and Its Mission

  • The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her Great commission.  Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly and the church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven (Ephesians 1:22, 23; 2:22; Hebrews 12:23).

  • Since God’s purpose concerning man is to seek and save that which is lost, to be worshiped by man, to build a body of believers in the image of His Son, and to demonstrate His love and compassion for all the world, the priority reason-for-being of the Biblical Intervention Ministries, Inc. as part of the Church is:

  • To be an agency of God for evangelizing the world (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15,16).

  • To be a corporate body in which man may worship God (1 Corinthians 12:13).

  • To be a channel of God’s purpose to build a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son (Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 12:28; 14:12).

  • To be a people who demonstrate God’s love and compassion for all the world (Psalms 112:9; Galatians 2:10; 6:10; James 1:27).

  • We believe there is one universal Church, made up of genuine believers, and this one universal Church is also composed of many local churches.  These churches are under the leadership of the Lord Jesus Christ, not controlled by outside people or groups (Acts 15:22, Matthew 16:18, 18: 15-20).

  • The Church exists expressly to give continuing emphasis to this reason for being in the New Testament apostolic pattern by teaching and encouraging believers to be baptized I the Holy Spirit.

    • This experience enables them to evangelize in the power of the Spirit with accompanying supernatural signs (Mark 16:15-20; Acts 4:29-31; Hebrews 2:3,4).

Marriage and Authority

  • We believe god has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions 1) the home, 2) the church, and 3) the state.  Every person is subject to these authorities but all (including the authorities themselves) are answerable to God (Romans 13:1-7), Ephesians 5:22-24, Hebrews 13:17, 1 Peter 2:13-14).

  • We believe that God has commanded that no sexual activity should be engaged in outside of a God-ordained marriage between a man and a woman.  We believe that any form of homosexuality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex (Genesis 2:24, 19:5-13, 26:8-9, Leviticus 18:1-30, Romans 1:26-29, 1 Corinthians 5:1, 6:9, 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8, Hebrews 13:4).

Human Life

  • We believe human life begins at conception and the unborn child is a living human being.  Abortion constitutes the unjustified taking of unborn human life.  Abortion is murder.  We reject any teaching that abortion due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or populations control are acceptable (Job 3:13, Psalms 51:5, 139:14-16, Isaiah 44:24, 49:1, Luke 1:44).

Divine Healing

  • We at believe in Divine Healing.  Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4,5, Matthew 8:16, 17).

  • We believe that if you accepted Jesus as your personal Saviour, you are entitled to healing (sozo: emotional, physical, spiritual wholeness) as declared by 1 Peter 2:24. As we "were" healed by Jesus Stripes, it is the responsibility of every believer to labor in manifesting His promises to us by faith.

The Resurrection and Second Coming

  • There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life (1 Corinthians 15:20-23; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment (John 5:28-29).

  • The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent (Hebrews 10:37) and will be personal, visible, and premillennial (Luke 21:27).This is the believers blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service (Titus 2:11-14).

God’s Will for Provision

  • It is the Father’s will for believers to become whole, healthy and successful in all areas of life.  But because of the fall, many may not receive the full benefits of God’s will while on Earth.  That fact, though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of Christ’s provision in order to better serve other which include:

    • Mental and Emotional (2 Tim 1:7, 2:11; Philippians 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3),

    • Physical (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24).

    • Financial (Joshua 1:8; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Psalm 34:10, 84:11, Philippians 4:19).

    • Spiritual (John 3:3-11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10)

The Millennial Reign of Jesus

The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of the national Israel, and the millennia reign of Christ on the earth are Scriptural promises and our hope (2 Thess. 1:7, Rev. 19: 11-16; Romans 11:25; Rev. 20:1-7).

The New Heavens and New Earth

We as promised in the Scriptures, look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells (2 Peter 3:13, Rev. 21:1).

Ministry

Divinely called and Scripturally ordained ministry as provided by our Lord for a four-fold purpose:

  1. To evangelize the world with the good news of Gospel of Jesus Christ per His Commission to every believer as stated in Matthew 28:16–20;

  2. The edification of the Body of Christ (Mark 16:15, 20; Eph. 4:11-13);

  3. The body of believers is the Body of Saints, whom Body of saints (we believe as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, being perfected in the image of His Son (Ephesians 4:11,16, and (4) Meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion (Psalms 112:9, Galatians 2:10; 6:10, James 1:27)

  4. We believe that as an Evangelical ministry, it is our responsibility to oversee the discipleship of new converts.  There shall be ongoing discipleship studies both locally and online  for new believers. Please submit a contact form if you are interested.

  5. It is each person’s free will as to whether they choose to be a disciple.  We believe that although man becomes a new creature at the moment of accepting Jesus Christ as his/her Savior, that sanctification is a lifelong process and that the renewing of the mind with the Word of God is necessary to live the Christian life in a manner worthy of its name (Romans 3:25, Romans 5:12, Luke 20:36, Matthew 4:4, 1 Thes. 5:23, 11 Thes. 2:13-14, Acts 2:32, 2 Timothy 2:2, Ephesians 4:11-17, Romans 12:2).
